Well, I broke down, pried open my wallet and got some Glycerin. I figured it's Winter...good time to bone up on my indoor macro skills. Why not?

So, I'm launching a Full Metal Ursula Attack.

First wave...

Is that safe? Have you really thought it through and will you be wearing a helmet?

May I join you? Viewing her work forced me to go out an buy glycerin as well. Special note to parents of small children - Glycerin USP ingested in small amounts by toddlers can cause diarhea.

Good heavens, I'm relieved to see Ursula hasn't started a heavy metal band.

So I will be the dumb one, in what form and where do you get the stuff?

Looks like it works on more than children

I could be mistaken, but I think Tim was using a 50mm.

At the Drug Store. Small bottle, $3.99.

Full Metal Ursula would be a cool name for a Punk band.

Note to Self: Start a Punk band next week and call it Full Metal Ursula.

It's also good for food photography, making things look wet longer and keeping those "beads of water" nice and still on the lettuce.

I've used sugar-water also, though it's not as thick by far, but does stick well to surfaces when sprayed.

Reminds me of a stunt I used to pull. Once upon a time I worked for a medical electronics company, and we made our own "electrode gel" which consisted of glycerine, silica, and some "other stuff." I'd have to provide "muscle" to tap and move 55-gallon drums of USP grade (food grade) glycerine for the production workers. After tapping the barrel, I'd stick a finger in, pull it out coated with glycerin, and taste test it. "Yup, it's good." They'd look at me in disgust, not realizing that glycerine is just a sugar.
FWIW, it never had *that* effect on me, LOL.

Lubricants and Bibles, you must be reading Song of Solomon.

He, he, "full metal ursula", that's cool! I hope they can play Beethoven.

I was just thinking the other day, I should do some more glyceryn. But today I got a wide angle lens, he, he, I'm expanding my horizons!

Isn't that technically compressing them? :P

Somehow I think he came very short on ammo if thats his full scale attack. Certainly not enough ammo to play in your neighborhood!

Geez...I only bought one flower and my cat immediately broke the vase I sat it in.

Eh...maybe not Full Metal yet...more like a Drone but I just got home a less than two hours ago. Like I said...it was a first wave. I'm now regrouping.

Operation Full Metal Ursula goes into effect, full swing, tomorrow morning at daybreak... 07:00:00 Hours
