Left a few comments with a couple of suggestions. But don't take the suggestions as criticism because, overall, I think you've got some great lighting and posing techniques going on there. Beautiful, fun model as well. Well done.

Hi Rick.

First let me say, it looks like you have a good working relationship with the model. She seems quite relaxed and very photogenic! :D

I've not done any of the kind of work you're doing here (studio portraits), so take this with a grain of salt...

In the 4 images you've posted, all 4 of them seem to be sharply focused at the hand and/or the nose, leaving the area aroung the eyes slightly soft. I don't know if a slight closing of the aperture would help or adjusting the point of focus.

One minor complaint, and this may be way out in left field, but her hands don't fit her image. What I mean is the look you're going after seems to be fashion oriented, and she has working hand fingernails. I told you it was minor. :D

Overall, very nice. Looks like you're having fun - keep it up.

Thanks for the constructive comments everyone. It's pretty hard to get everything right.

Practice makes perfect I guess....

nice portraits. maybe you could bring out the highlights in the eyes just a tiny bit more.

maybe you could ask her to try and give you another look. her looks on these photo's look pretty much the same.

ask her while you're shooting her to look mad, happy, sad, flabbergasted, eyes closed, etc. etc.

try different poses and crops, to get a bit of a diverse set of photos.

and when you work in a serie, maybe use only one prop. see what she can do with, let's say, a piece of fruit, or a bulb, or whatever seems interesting to you.

hope these tips help you a bit :)

edit: oh. crap. I didn't see the whole set, just the photos you posted here.. sorry!
