Since I just learned last night that you could use masks on adjustment layers (thank you, Gordon!), now I am (besides feeling pretty stupid for not having figured this out before) wondering if masks with adjustment layers are allowed in basic editing.
I re-read the basic rules just a moment ago, and didn't come to an answer.

My understanding is that using a mask is really the same thing as making a selection. Thus, it's a no-go in basic.

Oh, bummer.
But thanks! :)

Since Paint Shop Pro doesn't allow masks on adjustment layers, a lot of "changeover" folk probably don't catch it. |

Whatever you mean by that? I just know that Ursula used PSP for a long time, that's all. :) |

Oh. Yeah. I had to change to PS when I got the Mac. PSP doesn't work on the Mac. I tried the Gimp for a little, but found it frustrating. So I bought PS (with an educational discount it's not that expensive). I am quite happy about it, and the Beta version of PSCS3 seems to work better and faster on the Intel Mac than the other. |
