Here Ye! Here Ye! Here Ye! Or possibly Hear Ye!
On this day, the 10th Day of January, 2007, AD, I am hereby instituting a new tax system in my Kingdom. From this day forward, I shalt implement a minimum 1-point Gratuitous HDR Tax, as well as a 1-point Gratuitous Sepia Tax. Additionally, a 1-point "Abandoned" Tax shall be assessed upon any image with that word as its title. Also the word "Forgotten."
And there shalt be a 2-point Gratuitous Selective Desaturation Tax.
Oh, and a 6-point tax shalt be implemented upon any image improperly using the word "your" when it should be "you're." Or "yore" for that matter.
End communique of cranky, first thing in the morning ramblings.

Coffee wakes one up because the stuff tastes so darn bad. Somehow, though, I still like coffee. Especially good coffee.
So, how's YOUR morning, Alan? Wait, you just told us.
The taxman cometh. |

*Slippy pays his HDR tax, but more than makes up for it by sneaking in some non-business sepia, and hopes it will be forgotten.*

You cannot take away points from my entries, as there are no provisions for negative numbers as scores.

Thank God, yes. I am definitely addicted to the stuff. It's not as easy to find as it used to be, and they no longer sell it in the cubes. Just 12-packs, 2-liter bottles and the smaller plastic bottles. |

Wait a minute... you're asking for a rebate while your profile image is in sepia? Tsk tsk :) |

In days of yore, when men were strong,
you're spelling didn't matter;
your right that people get it wrong,
but do you have to shatter
there self-esteem? Go back to bed!
No more degrading chatter!

You forgot the NI tax. And the gratuitous shoehorning tax. |

I just thought of another tax...
If, while I'm voting on images, one of those damn commercials for Head-On ("I hate your commercials, but your product is woooooonderful") happens to come on, I shall have no choice but to assess a 3-point tax on your image if it's the one on my screen at the time.
I realize that these commercials are not your fault, personally (as far as I'm aware), but I'm gonna have to take out my anger on somebody. |

and the badly sharpened Tax. I think 1 point per mm of blindingly obvious halos around contrasting lines.

Ouch. That one might get me since I'm still struggling with my sharpening... |

also tax any female portrait named "she", because it's getting old.

Ok, I've got another one.
What's the deal with nude shots of women where the focus of the image to any normal human is quite obviously the woman... and way off in the background there will be some sort of benign object, perhaps a tire iron or something, and the photographer will name the image, "Tire Iron"...? What's up with that? Just call it what it really is, for heaven's sake: "Woman With Incredible Breasts" or whatever.
This will be a 2-point tax. |

Or at least, there are going to 2 points that you are focusing on.
