Man mine really went in the pooper!! Its crazy how whenever you think its some of your best work, your score is always lower somehow. I need help raising my score, can you guys help, its the one with the fence in it!! Thanks in advance.

Looks like downward is a solid trend.... I'm going to lose my 6 pretty soon and I was so excited about it.... Still should turn out better than the last one, though!

From my (short) experience so far here at DPC I believe the best criterion is to compare your score with your average score. This way you can see how fast you improve.
Another measure I look is the percentage of the placement after the voting period ends, because an entry with a 6.5 in a challenge with an average vote of 5 is completely different to an entry with 6.5 in a challenge with average vote 6.

its not amazing, but its my best so far :D solong as it stays above 5.5 ill be happy.
got some really nice comments, people seem to like it :P Im happy bout it cuz i wasn't even gunna enter it, i was taking a picture of something on the other side of the fence but the fence came in focus instead of the other thing :P

It may not be the best, but it's not an appalling score either. Most people don't seem to do very well in their first couple of challenges - but keep at it, and learn! This really is a great site from which to learn and improve your photographic skills. |

The competition here is deadly. I gave out 2 10's, 18 9's, 58 8's, 98 7's, 60 6's, 45 5's, 14 4's, and 2 3's with no 2's or 1's.

keep your head up Monica, you do absolutely beautiful work. I think everyones is low due to the competition this time. I have never seen such good quality pictures in 1 challenge. It is a tough one this time. |
