| I would like to know if the people who upgraded from the 20D to the 30D thought it was worth it. If not, what were you expecting that did not pan out? If it was worth it, what feature made it so? |

It is not worth it if you have a 20D...now 10D is a big step up. Don't do it...if you are even thinking about it.

| I agree, the 30D is not that big an upgrade over the 20D. |

| biggest upgrades to me are r-g-b histograms and 2.5" lcd. i agree with tom foolery that it's an incremental upgrade... really should be the 21D. you have to decide how much the upgrade will cost you (cost of a 30d minus the money you will make selling a 20d)... if the features are worth that much to you, then consider it. otherwise, i'd suggest holding off for a 40d or whatever they may call the next iteration. also, keep in mind that you can get a 5d for a great price nowadays... (big canon rebates... $2599 with the 28-135 IS lens!) |

Unless you haven't yet received your 20D you should update your profile to show that you own one. |

I agree. My buddy shoots with the 20D, and the only thing that really gets him excited about my 30D is spot-metering & the larger screen. The other stuff is nice to have (larger buffer, more custom in-camera functions, larger folders, etc), but those are minor improvements.
Check here for a brief comparison between the models. |
