Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night... (00:12 here.)

Just finishing off wrapping presents to stick under the tree, and just put the stocking back in my Daughters room... She's 3 this year, and understands that Santa is going to sneak into the house during the night to put some presents in her stocking and under the tree. Very, very cool. :-).

Oh, and just finished watching Waynes World 2 on TV... Great movie. :-).

You folks have a safe and happy Xmas...

Well I am back from our Christmas Eve Dinner which was absolutely fantastic..... A couple of drinks to help celebrate the night, and a very good time it was.....

We only had to walk accross the road to our home. The xmas lights are all ablaze around us tonight, and we have been listening to Xmas carols on the television, with a live broadcast which was just fantastic.
Aussie you make us so proud.

We know have about an hour to go here in Queensland, Australia, before it is midnight, when we can finally be albe to say Merry Xmas to each and everyone we know, here in Australia, and everyone around the world.

Thank you for sharing part of my Xmas with me, in this special DPC way.

I was bound and determined not to get bummed out this holiday.
Its been a struggle this year let me tell you!
I wont get into all the details but it was going to suck royal.

Its Christmas Eve, I have my wonderful husband and children here with me and we will eat bologna sandwiches and play board games all day!

Merry Christmas Eve to you all. It is early, with the sun shining brightly. Just ground up some fresh coffee, and treated myself to half and half in it. Really good. Getting ready for church, then the day will be spent folding napkins for tomorrow, setting up the room where we plan on having dinner (prime rib. My brother bought a 14 pound roast. Hope it fits in the oven) and baking pretzels. Tonight, hopefully midnight service, if I have the energy, and we must not forget my family tradition of watching A Christmas Story at 8 tonight. Nothing like that cute kid with the glasses to get me in to the spirit.

If I have to hear "Can we open our presents NOW Mom?" one more time, I might burst into flames. ;)

For Christmas Eve fare, when we get back from church this morning, I'm going to make a big crock pot full of Rotel Dip, another crock pot full of Lil' Smokies & BBQ sauce, a huge veggie tray, and set out a bunch of cookies, almond bark "trash," and fruit salad. Tomorrow for Christmas dinner I'm making ribs, baked beans, cornbread, and tater salad. If I can find any, I might even add some homemade tamales to the menu. I miss those; my dad got them every year at Christmas when I was growing up and I think we should have some too. :)

I was going to whine that we still have to wait one more sleep for Christmas then realised that, after you Aussies are already into the post-Christmas let-down, we'll still be tearing into all our goodies! :D

It was a real struggle for me this year, with so much of my time and energy focused on dealing with my mom's estate, and hubby didn't even want to bother with a tree but my dear children rallied round.

It'll be quiet, just the 5 of us, but I know it'll be wonderful :)

Goodmorning everyone, yes, we have our XMAS "DPC" HATS on, and it is "CHRISTMAS" here in AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND.....
