While looking at the 2006 Year in Pictures over at msnbc I came across their photo blog. They have some amazing photographs and also commentary by editors about what they most liked about the images and in some cases why they werent good enough to make the final Year in Pictures selection. From a photographer standpoint I found it quite interesting.

Additional there is a section for the public to leave comments on the photographs. A lot of them remind me of DPC comments. Things like wanting the photographer to lower the camera to get all the girl's face in or one where they scoffed at the use of 'crappy' photoshop filters or that one of the images was a composite fake.
