Just had to brag a bit. Got some great news lately.

First, the Black & White Spider Awards (even though I've included some of them below in color):
I landed 3rd place for Photographer of the Year!!!

1st Place in Nature category


plus 2 finalists in Nature.


2 finalists in Architecture.


2 finalists in Fine Art.

Second, I just found out this morning that I'll have another Kodak POTD on January 6! It's "My Inner Child":


I owe this site and its members so much. THANK YOU for all your continued help and support. Y'all have taught me to believe in myself and to keep on striving for new goals. :-)

Congrats Jimmy! That is AWESOME! I'd like to point out that I noticed all of them besides your self portrait were taken with your little Gateway P/S... proof that it was your talent and not fancy dslr equipment that got you there. Good job!

Yeah, that little Gateway camera has certainly treated me well! I still have it and use it on occasion. I'm still learning all the bells and whistles on my Rebel XT! ;-)

Congrats (again) Jimmy. I did so on the Spider Awards thread, but to no notice.

And maybe someone near Times Squarre can go shoot your POTD on the Jumbotron!

Fantastic news SJ... I for one am not at all surprised that your talent is being recognized. I have been a fan of yours for a long time and have marveled at both you choice of subjects and photographic skills. Keep em coming.
