A great way to start off my Xmas holiday break.
Just opened my email account an received a message from the editor of Kodak, Picture of the Day.
My image, which is a re-edit of this challenge entry:
will be shown at the KodakTimes Square Gallery in New York City on January 5th, 2007.
This comes as a complete surprise since, as some of may know, I have been so busy with my new job that I haven't had time to shoot ANYTHING since September. I was feeling very bummed out because of this and decided to re-editsome photos, including this one, for myself. I just sent it to Kodak for fun. I never dreamed they would accept my very first submission.
Anyway, that's it. Just sharing a bit of good news :) |

Congrats Denis. It's a real honor--not easy to get selected. I've submitted about 15 photos over the last two years and got selected just once (for a people shot, not a landscape, coincidentally a year ago yesterday!)

Query: how does one submit to POTD? And are the selections based on somebody's judgment of what's good, or are they random, or what?

For those who aren't close to the big apple, check out camera 10. *ARGHHH! It looks like they may have changed cameras. What nerve! Maybe they'll switch it back later.* Here's the link.Congrats Denis!

Thanks for the way cool link. The camera switches position every minute and spends some time looking at the Kodak board. Just hope I can catch my image, but all they seem to be running now are adverts :-/
