love christmas music.
love the holidays.
but...
sirius christmas channel thinks that i need to hear this sappy "grown up christmas wish" song about 5 times an hour and it's about to make me climb the walls.
thank you for letting me vent. |

The radio station I listen to is playing that Wham! "Last Christmas" song about as often...that's the one that gets on my nerves. It's great the first eleven...dozen times but after that it's just overkill. I feel your pain. ;) |

What channel is it? I was hoping they had a Christmas music channel, but can't find it. Can't even find it on the internet radio player which I use at work. I'm not sure how much Amy Grant I can muster, but worth a shot.
Edit: nevermind, I found the 3 channels listed on the sites channel list, duh! :-)

it's 002. the "starlite" channel. it's not really well-publicized -- i had to go to their website to find it.
oh, and the adam sandler hanukkah (sp?) song is on AGAIN. god, i'm about to put my muppets christmas cd on endless loop and give up. |

If I listened to an all Christmas music channel, I'd be suicidal by lunchtime. All things in moderation. ;)

It could be worse, I just noticed they had an all country Christmas channel. |

it kind of keeps me in the mood, since it's rainy and muddy here -- AND i'm still stuck working on the never-ending project -- AND because my professor emailed us to tell us that 5 of the 6 people in our class forgot an ENTIRE PAPER that was due last week (although if only 1 person remembers the assignment from AUGUST, whose fault is that?)
right now i need some joy and yuletide. what i DON'T need to hear is that damned amy grant song again! :) |

Time to pour yourself a nice glass of koolaid, put on the dark Nikes, pull up a chair, and wait for the Hale-Bopp comet to pass by. |

My wife manages a retail shop. The owner insists that Christmas Music starts on November 1st and they'll play it until January 2nd.
After last year I seriously considered getting her some therapy. Some very intensive therapy.

XMRadio has a number of channels - 104 - 107 - dedicated to christmas.
I personally like Amy Grant's version, but hate to hear the remakes others have done.
Anybody else like "Christmas Wrappings" by the Waitresses? I bought their album 20+ years ago just to get that song. |

I'm from Texas and can't stomach Country music past about 20 seconds. I did see something even more scarey. My kid was watching Cartoon Network and they had a commercial for the "Kids Country" CD where kids sing all the country hits. OMG - I didn't think Achy Breaky Heart could more obnoxious but alas it is.

Having a devious mind, I was thinking if I was Al Qaeda (or his cousin, Al Jazeera), I wouldn't waste my time with dirty bombs or jet planes - I would bribe the Postmaster General to select a set of about 5 songs like the one mentioned above and play them in a continuous loop from mid-November through Christmas in all of the post offices throughout the country. Think about it - it's brilliant! Mass destruction, loss of life, as well as plausible deniability and a collective patsy!
Just something I thought about reading this thread. Back to work now.
