Has anyone ever used the metal framing material where you buy lengths of the framing and assemble the 4 pieces yourself? If so, were u happy with it and was it difficult to put together?

John, I have used these frames several times in the past, I had no problems with them that a screwdriver and a little bit of manual pressure could not fix. Most now come with little metal clips to hold the backboard tight up against the glass. |

Yes, I've bought that type of framing many, many times online from Metropolitan Picture Framing for photography exhibitions that I've been involved in. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only way to go. Cheap, easy and very professional quality.
I'm not affiliated with the company in any way, but if anyone is looking for a good place to buy these types of materials, I'd highly recommend Metro. They're at Metropolitan Picture Framing. |

no idea! I hade a mate in Australia who was a framer and he used to give me the stuff when I needed it in return for helping out with his PC.... I don't think it is too expensive, I guess that also depends on the size of the frame. |
