Thought I'd drag this old thread back up to the top of the heap and find out if anyone had songs to add this year.

Little Drummer Boy

When I was a girl my all time favourite song was Little Drummer Boy. When we left the East Coast of Australi to move to the West Coast, I had to also leave my father behind. I was 13. He had the only copy I had ever heard of the Little Drummer Boy. He knew this was my favourite. But it was on the old reel type players. I asked him if I could take it with me....the player meant a lot to him...! I can still remember the look in his eyes when he said yes.

Whenever I missed my Dad I would wind the tape around the reel and play that song. To this day, that song is still my favourite.

On Friday night I went to the Carols by Candlelight (second time in my life) and the stupid Country & Western singer was singing Carols. She didn't the name of this song, so instead called it 'rum pum pum pum'. That was so sad...the fact that a person booked to sing a song in front of the town...didn't even no the name of it.

The Twelve Days of Christmas

On the first day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the third day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Seven swans a swimming,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Eight maids a milking,
Seven swans a swimming,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the ninth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a milking,
Seven swans a swimming,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the tenth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Ten lords a leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a milking,
Seven swans a swimming,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the eleventh day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a milking,
Seven swans a swimming,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a milking,
Seven swans a swimming,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French Hens,
Two turtle doves
And a Partridge in a pear tree.

Long-time fan of TSO, but also love the BoneyM Christmas album. I wore out my original cassette and had to buy a new CD.

I like the old Irving Berlin "White Christmas" and another favorite is "I'll be Home for Christmas."

I have to admit (sheepishly) that my favorite Christmas album is one that came out in 1964 with Johnny Mathis in a ski sweater. ROFLMAO I still have to play it every year.

I have to agree with you on both of those. I also love both of these albums:
Barenaked for the Holidays (Barenaked Ladies)
Wintersong (Sarah McLachlan)- just came out and it's beautiful

Weird Al really needs more air time at this time of year:

Christmas At Ground Zero

It's Christmas at ground zero
There's music in the air
The sleigh bells are ringing and the carolers are singing
While the air raid sirens blare

It's Christmas at ground zero
The button has been pressed
The radio just let us know
That this is not a test

Everywhere the atom bombs are dropping
It's the end of all humanity
No more time for last-minute shopping
It's time to face your final destiny

It's Christmas at ground zero
There's panic in the crowd
We can dodge debris while we trim the tree
Underneath the mushroom cloud

You might hear some reindeer on your rooftop
Or Jack Frost on your windowsill
But if someone's climbing down your chimney
You better load your gun and shoot to kill

It's Christmas at ground zero
And if the radiation level's okay
I'll go out with you and see all the new
Mutations on New Year's Day

It's Christmas at ground zero
Just seconds left to go
I'll duck and cover with my Yuletide lover
Underneath the mistletoe

It's Christmas at ground zero
Now the missiles are on their way
What a crazy fluke, we're gonna get nuked
On this jolly holiday

I heard Karen Carpenters "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" on the radio this morning.

She had such a great talent, wonderful voice control.
