"Submit a ticket" means go to the help menu and choose "contact us". You'll see a screen with various options. I think I've always used the second one to ask the SC about a possible entry and whether it meets the rules.

One thing to note is that the response isn't binding; DQ discussions involve the entire SC and possibly debate among them, whereas responses are usually the opinion of whichever SC members happens to pick it up.

But I do know they'll discuss pre-entry reviews, too, when appropriate.

Either way, you'll get the opinion, in advance, of a knowledgeable SC member who will do his/her best to predict whether a DQ is likely based on past experience.

Thanks for the info.

we all have a lot to learn.

last night i set up an eloborate shot for pink floyd. i spent about an hour setting all the camera settings and getting the props and setting up the model. it was going to be a really cool shot, i could feel it. i took ten shots that i thought would work and then later i loaded them to the computer to check them out.

thats when i learned why one should never set hotshoe to on when they dont have an external flash...

at least i know what a hotshoe is now.

Melethia am very glad you found a place to live! Congrats! Bet your kitty cats will be happy to settle in as well.

I've gotta say, I had some of the best Chinese food in Europe, too. I stayed in Lund, Sweden for about a month once and I still miss that Chinese restaurant. They also had great gyros in Lund. Go figure.

a hotshoe is the part at the top of the camera where you attach an external flash.

if you have it set for on, then the flash attached to the camera wont work. not only did the shots not come out but they were darker than they would have been if i had hotshoe set to off and didn't use the normal flash.

You have a wonderfully dry, off-kilter sense of humor. I don't know whether it's contagious or you just simply attract the off-kilter crowd... Perhaps a smattering of both.

I can assure you, Posthumous keeps his kilt ON at ALL times.

Congrats on finding an apartment, Melethia :)

Okay, I'm obviously an ignoramous even when it comes to sucking... do skewsme and posthumous know each other? Or do they just imagine each other wearing kilts?

Hey, you all can imagine all of Team Suck wearing kilts if you like...I do it all the time. Of course, I still don't know what everyone looks like, so my imagination has to be pretty active.

Sounds like you're learning your neighborhood. I'm just glad for you that you found a place. Didn't your stuff leave Texas back in September?

Woooo hooo I've got an update button and a brand new blue shirt *parading around showing of new fancy shirt*

Mind you a fat lot of good the update button is for me this week, I'm sucking along on 5 for "sale" just 5, it goes a teeny bit under and a teeny bit over but mostly I have the worlds most average boring photo entered. It had the potential to be a great shot but..well...I blew it and it sucks.

But I'm going to shoot sticky tomorrow so I'll try and get something that's worth clicking the update button for.
