I snapped this today when Santa came to visit at school...this little guy had never seen the big man in red before, so it was really neat to see his reaction. I took about a ton and a half of pictures of all 23 kids with Santa, but this one candid caught my eye when going through the card. I wanted it to look a bit nostalgic. Too much?

too much cloudiness on the edges for me, Laurie. And I'm more of a fan of color in a santa pic. Otherwise, a very cute capture! Most kids are scared sh*tless of their first encounter with Santa. My oldest son (1.5 yrs at the time) had to be sat on a rocking horse about 5 feet away from Santa for the pic and wouldn't take his frightened eyes off the big red guy. :)

This is such a gorgeous photo...If you were going for a "timeless" feel then I think you have done a great job. I have to agree with art though just as a personal preference, I like santa photos in colour just becasue I love all the reds, greens and golds at christmas time!
