Greetings all,

I just discovered dpchallenge when Googling a plug-in along with a photographer's name. Seems like a great forum with some serious user activity!

I wanted to share my web resource for info on Photoshop plug-ins and related digital imaging apps (Plugs 'N Pixels, found at //www.plugsandpixels.com ). Site access is free; no registration is required.

I guess you could say the images used on the site constitute my recent "portfolio"; over the years (since the mid-'70s, ouch!) I've done everything from local newspaper photojournalism to weddings to portraits to academic photography. I currently work in IT (higher ed), managing Mac labs and a photo studio.

Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy the Plugs 'N Pixels website and ezine! See you again soon (I'll be adding dpchallenge to my Links page of forums that I visit regularly).

Be careful with buying 3D software, you get pretty much what you pay for and theres far more people in the VFX/3D community that Ive talked to that will refuse to use Vue (including myself) than those that like it. The main reason is stability, and yes I know that their software was used for a couple shots for the latest Pirates movie but that was pretty much just a couple stills for background plates and also look at the programing resources that these VFX studios have as they have people that can create work around for the bugs that you will face...

Sorry for rambling I just hate seeing people getting ripped off esp with this type of software to which I am quite familiar as every time I build another workstation for my company the software alone hits $8,000+ as my primary line of work is in 3D...

Bumping this because it's a *very* useful resource. There's a lot of work gone into this for sure.

Gonna check out the ezines now.

I notice Bibble is missing from the Raw converters btw - it's worth checking out.

Hi bod, thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoy the site; as you say, a lot of work goes into it and the ezines! I add to the site regularly as new products are released/discovered.

I am aware of Bibble but the developer has not responded to my requests for a review copy. My site is free for the promotion of their products, but I require a review copy in order to create the listing and dedicated page with custom screenshots and examples. Maybe in cases like this I can add a non-linked text listing of their product in the charts for the sake of completeness.

BTW, nice wildlife shots on your site! Speaking of swans, I have a B&W shot from the '80s of a swan with a large spider on his head... I need to use that somewhere.

PS: Is there a way to receive email notification of replies here? I don't see that option.

I'm pretty sure you have to be a member to have the special thread options like email notification. It's only $25/year for that, and well worth it if you're going to be frequenting the site. Thanks for sharing your site, by the way! Looks like an excellent resource.
