The only punishment is for getting the highest score, and even that's a nice, tingly sort of punishment.

Oops. I think we (Team Minus) earn a special award (a razzie?) for having two DQs in one week. :)
Look at the last page of any challenge's results. You can see how DQs are displayed. You can still edit your comments, get viewed, and get other people's comments after the challenge ends. For example, I'll explain on mine what happened to lead to the DQ.
The irony is that DQd shots often get MANY more views and comments after the challenge than middle-of-the-pack shots. :)

Not me this week! I think right now the honor belongs to  bryantbus unless someone can beat her 6.2 with an open challenge score.
And I do believe Team Minus should get some sort of award for two DQ's in the same week. |

We go Tuesday to Tuesday, or Wednesday to Tuesday, in other words, we calculate on Wednesday, always. It's the one consistency we have in this topsy-turvy world. Free Study will have to wait for next week's results.

I'm not running in the 4s this week, but my FS is teetering on the edge. I knew I was taking a chance with FS, but I'm still really disappointed with the reception my Bond is getting. Plus, nobody is leaving comments. When the voting is finished, you're going to have to help me understand why the Bond isn't doing better.

| JuliBoc I'm right there with you in free study score. About a 5.1 with 1 comment. Famous last words has been hanging out at 5.5. It is not even a good photo- at least I thought my free study photo was a lot better than my FLW. Go figure, right? |

It's a good thing I joined this league because you guys don't know how to suck. This is sucking at it's best. As for the rest of team Novice. Sorry to bring the team down.

Yes, Bob, I can say sort of. I was raised in MI and TX and I still share a cabin in the UP with my brother and sister. I go there in July, sometimes in the Fall, and sometimes at Xmas. The rest of the time I'm in FL.

Those are really nice shots from yooper land. Is that Superior or Bay DeNoc? One thing about the UP, there's a lot of beautiful scenery up there. |

I just entered my depressing, badly focused picture in the death challenge. it could have been shot better but then, it's not of a building this time...

Thank you noraneko. The blue and white shot is the first one I entered in a challenge, and it is still my highest score. Beginner's luck I guess. I couldn't enter the boathouse shot, because it was taken before I joined DPC. |

It's the mouth of a small river that empties into Lake Superior (seen in the background). The scenery there is spectacular, and getting a good shot is like shooting fish in a barrel. I take mostly landscapes in MI (flies permitting), and wildlife in FL. |

The beauty of Team Suck is that there is no such thing as letting us down, unless you entered that beautiful near-nude woman drinking a martini under a rainbow with her cat at Cannon Beach. (Although in fairness to  DrAchoo I have to say those Cannon beach shots were pretty amazing.)
Anyway, worry not, my friend, I predict my score in Death will bring us to new lows... :-)

I did these shots tonight for someone for their Christmas cards. What do you think? Just general impressions would be good. Would you be happy with them?
 
I used available light with fill flash. Funny part is they want to pick them up at Walgreens in the morning and the Photo part of their website is down!!!!
edit: I put the wrong one up first.

Kelli, I think the parents will love them. My only suggestion is to see if you could brighten the faces of the two girls just a tad. |

Team Suck is an unofficial, unsponsored way to socialize, commisserate and pretend to compete in teams when meanwhile you start caring less about your scores than you did before you were "competing."
Speaking of which, I will wager anyone that my score in Life will be lower than theirs. Hint: do not take me up on this wager.
