I returned from a conference in San Antonio and had the opportunity to take a few pictures between and after sessions. I love the Riverwalk at night during Christmas, because they get it all gussied up with colorful lights. It's a magical place and I thoroughly enjoy every visit I make to that city. I highly recommend it for travel if you want a place with good fun, great food, and an atmosphere that is perfect for families as well as romantic getaways. We stayed at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio and I HIGHLY recommend it. Several of the shots are from my balcony on the 18th floor. Man I sound like a travel brochure! ;)

Anyways, here are some pictures for your perusal/comments/whatever you'd like to offer:

I didn't pack my tripod (no room in the school car for any more "stuff" at all) but I tried to make do with what I could. Enjoy!! :)

Well done. Yes indeed San Antonio does have some great night photo ops. You're right a good tripod is needed to get the snooth silky water and reflections. I guess you recognized my post card entry, the hotel you stayed in.

Very nice Laurie. I remember Riverwalk, I was there two years ago ... I think it was at your recommendation. I'd love to go back! :-)

Laurie,

I like the clouds in the last two photos. Are you using any kind of filter?

No, no filters. I did change the camera setting to "high color" instead of normal, which helped make the colors so rich, I think. Thanks!
