After having two cosmopolitans at lunch, I went out and photographed "life" or life as I see it. I expect the voters to recognize it as coming from a genius or another one of those crazy suck people. |

Thats a good idea! I'm going to replace "Two cosmopolitans" with "Get roaring drunk" and see what I come up with! |

Hey, team minus. Could you please, perhaps, actually enter a challenge or two? :)
It's no fun when your team can't compete for lack of entries...
As for lesgainous and silverfoxx and the other butterflies, I think you just collectively raised the sucky bar quite a bit.

I went out yesterday to get a "death" picture, thought I had succeeded, but when I was finished editing it, I decided it was a "life" shot. It's really going to suck too! |

Hang on just a minute there sick cowboy dog, that's me quoting JuliBoc that you just quoted there. Anyway, they's a even better one where the divers get airborn on silverfoxx's site:

okay...thats what i get for drinking and threading.
both skydiver shots are awesome. i'm happy to be included in a group of photographers possessed of this much talent. it makes me think im getting away with something.
today i was thinking about the death challenge and then something hit me...
death, entropy, death, entropy...
i think we should have this one. it was practically made for us. |

Just entered death shot. I liked it a lot when it was full-sized, but it didn't compress too well. Thus not expecting much.
Skydiver shot is fantastic, far removed from any semblance of suckdom. |

Arterial deserved way more than a 5.8...
that is what defines the pics in this thread. they dont deserve the scores they get.
i suppose that normally i would spit out a series of swear words about the system in general but i will just say...

Teams Out of Focusers and Chasing Butterflies have 1 opening. It would be better if 1 member went on the Out of Focusers and 1 on Chasing Butterflies.
Blue Moon and alans_world are both offline - I would redirect them here and let them decide which team.
This is what I suggest:
Since alans_world asked first he would be on Chasing Butterflies and Blue Moon would be on Out of Focusers.

I have been trying to create ominous (death like) shots lately but whenever I do anything in PSP, I get punished severely in the voting. Just be careful with your post processing. The voters don't like it. That's why I'm going for Life this time. |

I agree that post-processing does not usually agree with the voters. My death photo has almost no post ('tis basic, after all), but it just has a lot pixels. Thus naturally a big file. Had to compress quality quite a lot to get it under required size for entry.
BTW - who is entering death and who is entering life? Can't wait to vote on these challenges, especially death (guess I'm macabre). I'm expecting a lot of creative OOB type entries. Or maybe just hoping :-) |

this is a wise desision Mary, and it would be great to hear what they think themselves, too:)
I am goign to celebrate life this time. enough decadent dance macabre for me:) |

This is the kind of stuff that gets me in trouble. I like doing this and it can all be done in basic with curves. But voters absolutely hate it. But it is so F*$@G much fun.

We've spent most of the weekend reconstructing our kitchen after getting a new fridge-freezer, so my Bond shot has fallen by the wayside. It might make a "death" shot though. |
