If a DPC member's voting average is below 5 does that mean the member feels DPC submissions as a whole are below average images?

No, it could mean several things... People vote different ways.

I haven't given a 1 yet, only a handful of 2's and a few 3's a week... This slants my average as a voter up around 7... Others may decide to give few if any 10's, give a handful of 9's, and a few 8's per week... This would give them an average around 3 or 4...

There are no right or wrong ways to vote, just different ways. As long as people are consistent, it all works out in the wash...

What if their average is above 5? Is the opposite true? I know mine is close to 5 (5.094) but I'm sure there are some members that tend to be more critical (or less) of the pictures that are posted. I assume that it all averages out to be close to 5.
