The Nun's Hand

I found this article to be quite inspiring. It makes a lot of obvious statements about why some people like a photo and others don't.

interesting article. and after he explained it, i got into the picture more. initially it did nothing for me. the nun centered snapshot-like in the center of the frame killed it for me. but after i read the article it was more interesting to look at, although i repeatedly regretted that aspect of the composition ...

The photo seems to need the space at the left hand side to show what the setting is and the space at the right for the couple. It would be a lot better without the person stepping out of the frame being there.

I like the concept of the nun vs couple photo, but find its contents kind of ugly and depressed.

In many contexts, photos have captions, but no titles. It would be fun to do that with a challenge some time.

I would love to see 'captions' available with all challenge photos all the time...

Anyway... I didn't post this article link for the purpose of critiquing the photo in question... I just posted it to show a well written explanation of how people simply perceive things differently.
