I came home today to find that my cat Evey, whom we adopted a couple of months ago off the streets has had four little kittens right on top of my converse sneakers. The pink and brown suede ones, the beatles yellow submarine ones, right on them. Placenta. Gross.
And quite unexpected too. I was hoping she'd go for the box two feet away that has a roof and a blanket in it eagerly awaiting the babies' arrival.
It's really hard to stay upset when you see something this cute though.

There are two black ones that look just like her, one medium grey one and a tabby.
I love kittens. I really wish I could get some good shots of them though, but flash is completely out of the question, and my camera is junk.

I love babies! Living out in the country, we've had our share of pregnant drop offs. Oh well, we love them all! This is one from this year. It was an only kit.

These pics are just so adorable! I wish I could have a cat that could have babies, but I'll survive by looking at your images of these adorable little ones. :o)

We just found out that this little one is a girl. These kittens bring so much happiness and life into our home, I just love them all already.

Monica , thanks for posting ! I remember the thread when you adopted her.
What are you going to do with the babies ?
In may I was in the same situation and in only two days I found home for 3 of them (because we want to keep 2 with us).I wish you the same luck.
Senuferet decided to have her babies in my bed , even if she seemed to feel at ease in a big warm place with blankets she finally preferred to be with me ! It was a "funny" night ...

Is that a calico? She looks like it to me. Beautiful kitty; how are they doing lately? Any new pics??

This (sadly) reminds me of the last time I ever tried to take pictures of new born kittens. The mother did NOT like it and abandoned them....
I was so upset I never did get the film developed.

I'm going to go ahead and ignore that last post as it is ruining my cuteness buzz. |

Thanks for sharing !
Nice new photos of the kitties !
I love cats and it's very specal to be with a mom cat and her babies , so lovely , tender ...
The "bad" part is that babies grow up very fast , too fast .
This one is Tutmosis , now (six months old) he's very big ! |

We have to touch them anyways because they have fleas which can be deadly on newborns. I've been taking pictures while my boyfriend combs them.
I just have a feeling that my Evey wouldn't abandon them. She's been really good about letting us and the vet hold them. |

I LOVE kitties. We have a horde in our barn but unfortunately they all have Feline Leukemia so it has been the demise of many of them. I had twelve and am now down to 4 neutered males so no more kittens for me. I had them all fixed because it is contagious and if one has it they all do apparantly so it was sole destroying to see the babies battling.
This is one of the baby shots I got of the one litter, I have a few more, have to dig them out and will post them.
