Hi guys!
Next month, a perfomance of Spencer Tunick will take place in my city (Barcelona). Do you know Tunick work? I think his photographys are art, but other people think that are pornography. What do you think about it?

| What I know is, we cant photograph Tunick's work and submit it to DPC. LOL |

| Tunick's art is only pornography in the eyes and minds of those that cannot look openminded at nude bodies. |

From what I just saw by looking .... I do ont understand tha tmuch how it could be called pornography as, in the one I looked, there is not a single hin of sex. Nude people in streets. nothing else.
I cannot say I like it, one is interesting becasue the idea is very special .. but then .. it looks always the same to me.
The difficulty of have 100 naked bodies lying like dead in the streets of a city does not make the photo more interesting to me.
I did not look a lot, maybe the message of a war/post war messages with those bodies, but once you got it once it looks a little too much a 'system' to me.
Now to be part of the picture at one event is probably an interesting experience , but I do not think it makes a nice picture.

I saw a show on TV about his Naked States project a while back... it was really interesting... I would love to see that stuff...

I saw that same show Setz. Very interesting. I wish his show would come here. I'd love to see it.

Saw the special also. Pretty cool documentary...the funny thing was, the hardest shoot he did involved nudists, they gave him the most trouble..lol

I guess I dont see the pornography in the shots on his site. I see nude people, but not porno.

| It's certainly not pornography. It's different I guess. Don't really see the point in his shots. Just hundreds of naked people laying in the streets. What's it supposed to mean? I think if you can't tell the meaning of it, what's the point of it? |

hey if your gonna start a forum about a photographer with photos of naked people lying in the streets, please post a website link! hehe
anyway I did check out his work... it is not porno, but wow how weird... all the naked people lying in symetry.... it's really kinda cool in a weird and surreal sort of way...
