You know those ones that print your photos on equally sized sheets and bind them in a hardcover book?
Whats your opinion of them?
I am wondering about making one up for the photos from my bro's event. |

I've used MyPublisher and was happy with the quality.

I just tried Blurb.com, but found out about LuLu which is all online and cheaper. |

durr .. i never even tried the search this time as i have asked on several forums and they all give me the "huh-wha?" look like they never heard of the things before.

Are the LuLu books hardcover? From the info I saw on their site the books didnt look that appealing to me.

Good question. I think they can do hard AND softcover, but I'm not certain right now.
As for Asuka, you have to certify to them that you are a PROFESSIONAL. I like their products, but I'll never use them since I'll never pass their screening. |

In Australia an Adelaide based company makes them.
Digital Davinci
They even have software to integrate into iPhoto on macs so you can order it.

Their screening was easy to pass, I had no problems at all and my full time job is not photography.

I've heard bad things about dark colours from all the photobopok makers. are they really that bad?? |

I've seen samples from the Australian one, Digital Davinci, And blacks were fine. (No oily looking reflections or anything). Most of the books they make are with a black image background. The thick softcovers look great.
