34.315... It's a good time! Well, you didn't discover relativity, but it isn't what we ask of you.

39.154.... why do I even bother reading forum postings which indicate in the subject there's a potential time vortex on the other side? :)

You weren't kidding Bear. Tactics were tricky to say the least. Too many tries to count to get to this point.

It helps to be old enough to have been a PONG addict, because the paddle and the ricocheting ball are pure pong in their behavior. I can remember when pong was the first video game, and showed on tables in bars and pizza places; you played it horizontally. The ball on the balance beam is an added element of course. Whichever direction you move the paddle will tilt the beam the other way, causing that ball to go in the opposite direction from the paddle's movement, or stopping it if it was moving fast the other way to begin with. One thing you can do is BOUNCE the beam ball by dropping the beam out from under it when it is near one end or the other, that can be a lifesaver.

The ideal state is with the beam ball, the paddle, and the pong ball all centered and the pong ball bouncing straight up; in theory, if you can reach equilibrium you can bounce forever, but that's damned hard to do.

Also, this particular game plays MUCH better with the Wacom Pen than it does with the mouse, so try that if you have one.
