That would require several hundred comments on my end. LOL. I have been trying to hit up the team suck images post challenges (if they are short on comments). If they have tons, I just skip it. I'll probably do more tomorrow. I have to keep beating my son off the computer to get in for a few minutes. He has discovered RealArcade. I finally got rid of my daughter last year when I got a new computer and she inherited the old. Now I have to bargain with a 7 year old. OY!!!

well ive not entered anything this week, sorry fellow teamates but you will just have to suck this week without me. Im in a bit of a slump, im upset with my camera, and... well nevermind :P

Hurry back - I am a big fan of your Wyoming photographs. Wyoming is special to us-over the last 10 years we have made 6 winter trips to the Tetons.

Kivet, just checked out your Wyoming photos. Really like them. I'm originally from MT, and they make me nostalgic. They would probably make me nostalgic even if I weren't from MT, though, 'cause they're well-rendered.

Sucky scores indeed. Just can't turn them off or avoid the update button--NO WILLPOWER! I just entered a sucky shot in Black and White, but I might change it before the deadline. Have a really silly one for spots (a total accident), but I'm not sure what I am gong to do with it yet. I guess I might as well enter something silly as my scores can't be a whole lot worse.

Someone turned on the Hoover switch on my camera and it has been sucking ever since.

I'm firmly in the "no SP deserves a 1" camp, and in fact in my voting style, no submission here deserves a 1, but that's my voting perspective. The silver lining is that the commentor DID explain a low vote and while I think it unfairly low for a self-portrait (I mean, hey, we put ourselves OUT THERE), I do applaud the leaving of the comment. Does this make sense?

I've heard bokeh is of Japanese origin. My college major was Japanese and I worked at the Embassy of Japan in DC for several years, occasionally doing interpreting, and never heard the term. I've looked it up in several Japanese - English dictionaries, and the only definition for bokeh according to these is quince (as in the fruit).

That being said, if it is of Japanese origin, it would be pronounced boh-kay. The "h" at the end is a strange addition, indicating to me that it maybe should be spelled boka, in which case it would be pronounced boh-kah.

This probably isn't really very helpful :-)
