If only everyone could recognise the "suck team"'s entries for what they are truely worth. We could then bask in the fuzzy glow of countless 10s. Ahh so. |

Thank you! I will admit I did not take that shot for the challenge--and expected some DNMC comments (surprisingly, I only got one that said you couldn't feel the wind.) |

6 means I respect (sometimes grudgingly) a photo. Anything 7 or above means I like it. A less spectacular challenge and I would have scored it higher.
Interestingly, I was able to predict all three ribbon winners, as you can see from my comments. I wonder what that means...
and noraneko, I loved your picture, that's why I posted a poem on it! :)

Posthumous - I loved your poem! It was so cool! And Meleitha, thanks for the nice comment below! |

I think I have a half decent entry for Reflections, though it's awfully tempting to sneak into the top 100 by entering a Neon shot. I promise either entry will be better than my too-rushed total-suck self portrait.

Monday afternoon grumpiness.
The DNMC challenge police are out in force for long exposure. Why couldn't this have been called a Motion Blur challenge instead if that is what was expected?
So I wonder if I'll be told that my Neon is not really neon'ish enough?
I need to turn my dpc scores off for a day or two or seven.

I will say that DPC is a far nicer place with scores turned off. :-)
I have one for Neon that will meet the challenge. That may be it's sole redeeming characteristic. But I can never get enough of sub-5 scores, so in it will go! |

Free Study is doing so-so, as is Portrait in Landscape. |

Speaking of brown ribbons, my condolences to Don. Maybe you can ask the other guy if he'd be willing to self-DQ after the fact? :-) |

Thanks, Deb. I'm slowly getting over it. It doesn't look good for long exposure, but I think I am safely in the Bottom Ten:

My comments are priceless, though! DrAchoo finally got revenge on me for that haiku I gave him. Little did he know that he was actually *increasing* my score! hahahaha

How is it that my lowest ever scoring self portrait gets more comments than my nicer entries in Free Study and Landscape Portrait?

It's rather embarrassing but the only team suck member I recognized in self portrait was Deb. |

I only recognize the people that actually have photo's of themselves already in their portfolio's or as their profile picture.

Do any of these sucking teams have a spot for a new member? I had the distinction of coming in dead last in the train challenge. And my wind entry got five '1's, four '10's, one favorite, and 9 comments (it was a beach and people said it was too grainy). |

P.S. Maybe I should have "Hoovered" the beach before the shot. |

I've added FormerLee to the Hoovers. I know it looks like they have 6 players, but trust me, it only looks that way. They have 4 or 5 at the most. | |
Giorgio is no longer in the suck league. Maybe she can take his place.

Welcome, Julianne - our fearless leader will be along to offer the same. By the way, I really liked your wind shot. So you'll fit right in here.
It's not so much that we suck, we just have odd taste. At least that's what I tell myself.... :-) |

Hey, does this mean I'm a Hoover? This is great. I'm afraid to ask if there's an initiation.;P What's next? |
