This is my first self portrait challenge >.< lol I was number 7 in ^_^ lol lucky 7 come on ribbon !!! You knwo what sucks.. I wont be here for roll over stupid work

Well now. Can't say much besides I did not end up with the shot I set out to take. Funny that. Anyway, I'm in.

Oh no...I have to look at a photo of Cindi...what will I do, except maybe enjoy?

And I've taken the same shot 6 times and submitted it 6 times...better each time, though.

over here its allready the 5th lol!! We europeans have 5 hours less to make the picture lol! :P

Since submissions go by server time, you have the same amount of time as everyone else. :P

I'm in. Was it a mistake? Maybe. Probably. I suck at regular people pictures, what makes me think I can take one of myself? I went out looking for Long Exposures and Reflections and came up with nothing but crappy & cliche shots. So I took a couple of myself on a whim. Then I did some fairly riskey post processing. I think I'm going to regret this one.....

Kelli, my dear, I'm what's fondly known as "but... ugly" - as in "she has a great personality, but..." And I did this for 30 whole freakin' days. And what did I learn from it? It was a blast! I'm not exactly model beautiful here, either, but my trick is to not be a model so much as an actress. I am rarely "myself" in a self-portrait. For Daisy, I was, well, Daisy, and a good chunk of my face was hidden. For the curlers shot, I was little more than another prop - something to put the curlers and mud on. For the hat photo, the hat is the subject and I'm just a mannequin. I think if you're going to present yourself as a model, then you do need to be prepared for the fashion nitpicking. But if you insert yourself as a prop or a character, then being drop dead gorgeous is a lot less necessary.

Edited to say this:
Get in the habit of turning the camera on yourself whenever you're bored. Grab a scarf, a hat, do your hair, do your makeup, shoot yourself looking good, shoot yourself when you've just rolled out of bed. I know all my best angles now, I'm a lot less self-conscious about it, and snapping a self-portrait on the fly has become a piece of cake.

Yay! I am in too, first time I have been in four challenges at the same time, bet this one will not score well but I personally think it´s rediculous so no way I was not going to submit :P

I only saw the challenge 15 minutes before I had to be at work so I shot and entered something in record time...now that I'm looking at it at work I really don't like it much but if I unsubmit it there is no going back... what to do? Guess I'll leave it in. I'm in no danger of getting a particularly low or high score so it'll just be something to look at on the front page for a while.
