What do you have to do to get a comment?
Comments are hard come by with over 600 entries to judge. What ticks me off is when people give out a 3 or less but do not leave a comment.
Can the "powers that be" change the set up so that in order to leave a 3 or less score that a comment of more than 30 characters has to be left?
Of course then 3 would just be the new 1. :(

For the first time ever since I joined DPC I have been able to survive without an update button for 24 hours (while being able to view DPC). Going to try another 24 hours without scores. :)

This has been discussed before and I don't see it happening. I feel the same way..if you are talented enough to decide that a picture is a 1,2,or 3, you should be talented enough to explain. Just my 2 cents.
I am happy with my scores and comments at this point, but I have gotten some low scores as well. Don't really care....I love the photo so much it is hanging on my wall over my desk.

Actually its probably the photo that you want to vote 5.5 but have to decide between 5 & 6 - thats what everybody else seems to be doing - my fault really for entering a boring photo

That is always the most important thing. Those that are taking photos ONLY to please others are doing it for the wrong reason. It is always nice to have others like them (of course) but that is not what it is all about. :) |
