| I think Ben and Juliette used to be married...that would certainly explain the animosity between them. |

I don't think she was all that upset about the locking in thing - though I do think there is some animosity from some past issue that we don't yet know about. After all, once she gave Jack the food Henry/Ben and Juliet did share that little moment when he told her she did a good job.
That said I don't think she's necessarily completely on-board for everything. She looked like she was getting twinges to her conscience about what has/will happen to Jack.
It is curious why they are doing this, it all seems like elaborate psychological experimentation, I can't see what the point would be exactly unless the Dharma group is still active, even then.. Also, I wonder what their outside world access is, since they must've gotten all Jack's info somehow.
What I'm very curious about now is what happened to Kate after the breakfast, her wrists were extremely chafed and she was looking very fragile when they led her to the outside containment area. They did warn her that the next 2 weeks was going to be extremely bad. Why 2 weeks? What happens after the 2 weeks? Will they be killed after that? Is it an initiation? More experimentation? Why'd they draw blood? Agh so many questions!!
Oh and to the person who asked about commercials, yes I think there were an inordinately large amount of commercials, seemed we had about 5 minutes of show and then 2-3 minutes of commercials through the whole episode. I suppose its to be expected if you have a show with as rabid a following as Lost currently has, but I'd be careful if I was them (ABC). I had taped the show and fast fwd'd through the ads but I still got really annoyed at the number of them, I can't imagine sitting through them all.
Anyway, next week should be just as good!

I can't believe this- I'm so addicted! I watched 1 & 2 on DVD and I was thinking I'll just wait till 3 is out too cuz I just can't stand the commercials! But I'm recording it right now. (I think it's on right now isn't it?!?)
I have no self control :0)

nah...aside from Juliet, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of disent going on.
I suspect that Jin, Sun and Sayid will now return to their camp and organize some sort of raiding party, in an attempt to kidnap one or two of "the others" so that they have something to bargain with. At least, that's what I'd do.

I'm hiding this thread as of NOW - our networks aren't showing season 3 yet (haven't even seen a ad for it) and I'm distressed that you people get to watch it while im here in ignorance. I might even have to unplug the broadband so that I don't hear about it.
Mmmm internet... how's that bittorrent thingy work?

Just go to ABC the day after it airs here and you can watch it online for free...smaller screen of course, but at least you'll get the jump on your friends. |

yeah. first thing i said to my wife was "bet she's the evil one..."
and as for dead characters, i think that's one of the best things about the show... you never know when a favorite is gonna up and get dead.
now. was the smoke pretending to be his brother or was he hallucinating? and what is the smoke? a manifestation of the island? some alien life trapped on the island with them?

love the show, have been watching it very closely since first season...
my only concern... they seem to have been fostering two significantly differnent explanations for everything that's going on. there is the big conspiracy theory, and then there is the supernatural. not only have they not tried to favor one or the other (or neither) this season, they have given more ammo to the conspiracy theory with regard to the others, and given more support to the supernatural with regard to the group at the main camp. i wish they would make up their mind on that.
there's a fine line between this being a big elaborate story with multiple subtle intertwined plots, and it being a bunch of writers making a lot of stuff up as they go along. they seem to be approaching the latter.
that being said, the ending last night was great, and while it sucks that we have to wait 3 months for a new episode, they will then have four months straight with new episodes. |

Same production team/writers as Alias.
I'll leave the obvious comparison and conclusions to y'all.
I'm about an episode behind, having not seen last nights. Did they kill of the two new random model 'losties' that just appeared a couple of episodes ago ?
