I just got confirmation today that my photograph of the phases of Venus:
will appear in the December issue of Astronomy Magazine. I believe it will be used in an article written by Glenn Chapel, who writes a beginner's level column. He must be writing about Venus, hence the use of this particular photo. They had contacted me back in the summer about doing this, and we agreed on a price. I never heard back from them until today, confirming the issuing of the check and needing my SS number.
Their issues run about a month ahead, like most major mag publications, so I expect it to hit newsstands around Nov 1.

| Well, my December issue arrived in the mail today. Page 16. They used a portion of my photo about the size of a postage stamp, with the words "can you guess what this object is?" Apparently it's a teaser for an article about Venus to appear next month. At least they got my name right. ;-) |
