I am working on my website and would like some help. Would you please take a look and see what I can do to make it better? I am using yahoo page builder and really don't know how to use anything else.

I also changed my photo gallery.
Please tell me what you think and if it is appropriate. Thanks
Sonja

Hi Sonifo,
I thought your site was very good. I enjoy going to others sites and seeing what they are doing. It gives me ideas of more things to do with my own site. I'm not very good at figureing out alot of the tech. stuff though, unfortunately. Oooppss, forgot to sign your guest book. I'll go back and do it now. Keep up the great work!
Please visit my site here://sherryk.1colony.com if you get a chance. Of coarse, looks like I did it wrong .

PS: How do I get this to show up like ya'll do?

Hello Sonja and Sherry your sites look ok, and navigation is easy. The most important thing is finding the photo's and I had no troubles with that.

I am building my own site too: //www.myphotoalbums.tk

Thank you Daniel, Sherry and Pitsaman for taking time to look and comment on my website.

Sherry I signed your questbook. Great site! How did you get your page to fit the whole screen?

Daniel, I spent some time early looking at yours. I noticed one thing. The top right letter is bunched up together. Where is says tip tricks/forum/links. It also looks like I should see more then 2 cameras at the top right as well. I tried to click on the links and they came up as an error.
I love the way you have your photos set up. How do you keep your pictures on one page as you click next or scroll down?

The bunched together letters and the camera missing is probably because you use a lower resolution(<1024x768) or you are not looking at the site in full screen. (At this moment I have no clue how to correct this)
The link error is because I don't have those pages ready yet (I'm not that fast or just lazy)
I used gallery software to show the photo's this takes care of all the tech stuff. The problem is you can't run this on every webserver.

Wish I could tell you that making the page fit the whole screen was a masterful job on my part but Colony makes it easy. I just followed the bouncing ball so to speak. Thank you for signing my guest book. I also went back and did the same on your.

Sonja, Great page, easy to navigate. One suggestion :

Since you link to dpreview for a description of your camera, maybe you should give a courtesy link to their home page as well.

Again, it's a wonderful site filled with wonderful pics :)

Thanks Mike. I will put that on my list of things to do this week. What did you think of the dpchallengeprints logo? Do you think it was appropriate?

Daniel, I don't have a scroll bar at the bottom of my screen either so I can't scroll to the side. I think everything is correct except the top part.

Absolutely... It looked great, and I'm sure it will boost DPCPrints :)

Sonja,
great site - congratulations! One suggestion - when you are linking to another site, make that link open in a fresh window, otherwise one has to click the Back button to return to your home page.

I tried to do that but can't seem to figure out how.

Sonja,

I think what you're trying to do is set the target to "blank" when you're creating the link so that it opens in a new window - for example, a link would be coded as, "".

I tried to find a site that had all the codes on it. Does anyone know of any?

Thanks uabresch!

//www.w3.org might be what you're looking for. A lot of text editors have built in help that will give you info on coding. Webmonkey has a lot of useful info //hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/ or //www.webmonkey.com - I think Webmonkey has links to other similar sites.

I think I finally figured it out. Thanks for all the links!

Nice sites guys! Sonja, yours is especially "clean" and makes good use of "white space" for a professional feel, but all of your sites are easily navigated and fun to visit.

Hi Sonja!

I took a look at your site... here's my comments: Don't use the same font for everything. Left justify the "Links" and "My Favorite Websites" (capitalize them like that). Then indent the links, and left-justify them as well.

Nice message and I really like your portfollio pics and creativity!

Love those sites! Nice work!
I have my site up for a few months, and I think all the bugs are worked out of it. I would love any criticism.
I used rollover buttons for navigation, I tend to think it is easier, but have not had much feedback. Any appreciated.
I am due to update it (been a month), to get new pics, add a links page, update the DPC and prints info, and someday get the Portfolio section made up (nothing there). Let me know what else, please. Thanks in advance.
the link is the Photos4Aidan below.
