Heh! I see good looking people and think "Now how would I manage to get them to let me do a portrait?" I see good looking men and no longer what it would be like to date them, but whether or not I could get good pictures of them. Sad, but true.

Your wife is no longer jealous when you spend 45 minutes staring at her Victoria's Secret catalog, 'cause she knows you care more about the lighting than the models.

That's both funny and heartwarming at the same time. But will she let you order stuff for her and then let you take her picture wearing it so you can try to duplicate the lighting?

Plead the fifth dude!
If you answer that question and she finds out then she may never let you do it again. (take pictures, not do"IT!".lol)

Hehe - are you both kidding? Apparently you've forgotten how simple we men are. LOL

Heck, she bribes ME by sayin "Honey, if you'll buy this for me, I'll model it for you".

Then I sit there drooling while placing yet another internet order (hell, the catalog really comes in MY name and, when I call, they answer the phone with "what does she want this time Billy?" LOL

You ladies are great - just two of the many reasons I love this site!

(My wife says hello too, and thanks for thinking of her!!!)

..When you look at the bright clouds in a beautiful blue sky and think "there are a lot of blown highlights in those clouds" ;-)

when your 13 year old son will NOT leave in car with you without first asking "are you taking the camera?". If I answer yes, he won't go most times because 20 min trips take 2 hours!

Forgot to add..... Yes, I am short in statue, and yes, I don't have far to fall, but it still hurts, especially my "pride", when others are watching me fall.....
I just lay there for a moment, thinking the grass would make a good macro shot, and then think I better get up now, and hope I had some nickers on.
Well I always try and look on the better side of life, and not dwell on the sad stupid times.....

You definately know you are addicted to photography, especially your camera, when I trip, loose my balance, and fall over flat on my face, landing quite winded, brused, and shaken. What do I do, well I reached out, and saved my camera, before saving myself.
I did this again just two days ago, and the bruises, and sore spots, are still coming out, but the camera is fine.
I saved my much loved camera, and thats all that matters.....

I'm not all that much taller than you, Shez, but yes, it still hurts when you fall! Glad you can look back on it with a smile. I'll have to remember next time (and it will happen again - I'm a klutz) to start mumbling something about shooting the sidewalk as a macro.... great idea! :-)

I am always falling due to my sight, my silly legs, and my crazy brain.....
I should be getting used to it now.
I really do hate it when I fall with my camera, as that is my pride and joy, and would not like it one bit, if I damaged it in anyway.

when you break the glass lid of your fav cooking pot and dash to
get the camera before you sweep up.
twinkling little shards on the chequered kitchen tiles make for
a lovely macro.
(my son saw me prostrate taking photos and asked me if i broke it
on purpose.)

OMG I can relate to so many of these. My 11 year old has his hand permanently in front of his face because he is so tired of me taking his photo. I jump up at 3a.m. to check my score, BEFORE reading email, and I would save my camera , breaking a limb, if that's what it took. ROFL

Les - I have done the same thing. I broke a mirror, to take a pic, and now have it in a baggy, in case I need the shards again. ha ha ha

Anytime I mention needing something at the store I'm asked "what photo is this for?".

Anytime I suggest going somewhere (to a park, downtown, etc...) I'm asked "what photo is this for?".

Do I always have to have an alterior motive for buying something or going somewhere?! Why yes, of course! :D

I got accused of going to the grocery store last night just to buy props. . .

When your wife calls your camera/camera bag "our fourth child".

When your kids put the seat belt on your camera bag.

Not that I've ever looked at that sorta stuff ;] ... but I could imagine that I would say ... "I could do a better job taking these pictures ... if I only had the appropriate models :]

You know you're addicted to photography when you feel "naked", ashamed of yourself, and ready to "pull your hair out" just because you left home...in a hurry...without your camera.
That happened the other weekend...My wife, our little JOY, and I went to the grocery store for a few items. As a left the store, we were stunned by the most gorgeous rainbow!!!! Camera!?! Where...is...camera? Home???? Aaaauuuugggghhhh!!!!!!!! :}
