I am making my husband and I our Halloween costumes this year. We are going to a huge Halloween party and we plan on leaving with the $1000 grand prize.

Problem is, I need a piece of 1/32" in black latex or rubber for my mask. It's just an eyemask, but I can't find any thing that comes close to what I need and I am too picky to have anything but the perfect mask! :)

So.... where can I find a piece of black latex rubber that is 1/32" thick and I would like a 3'x3' piece. I plan to wear the costume a few times, and since I have to spirit gum it to my face... it may damage the material.

Any help would be great... I have no idea where to look!

Thanks!
Lorrie

Not sure about sheets of latex, but I know it can be bought in liquid form and applied directly to the body. Most web sites that cater to fetishes sell that.

I don't know where you can buy 1/32" black latex sheet, but have you considered other options? Maybe you can buy a regular shiny black plastic mask at a craft or costume store, and then trim it down to the shape you want.

Just a thought...

haha... I knew this would get dirty! :)

The mask is so weirdly shaped and it has to fit like second skin.

Sher, thanks for the link... I asked the seller more about it. I hope it's what I need! :)

And, I will be sure to post pictures of our costumes when I get them finished. :)

In that case I suggest you draw it on with a black felt-tipped pen. Just be sure to get one that says 'indelible' so it will wash off later.

May I suggest you contact my friend DrJOnes. That's his speciality! I know he used to make his own latex clothing in the beginning and he still has some leftovers somewhere in storage. He'll be back from London next week. He's at the SkinTwo Rubber Ball right now.

You might also want to call Polymorphe. I think they can do custom orders pretty fast.

Marker - hahaha

I am going to try the lady on ebay that Sher directed me to. If that doesn't work, I will indeed contact Dr.Jones.

Thanks guys!

Do a google search for liquid latex and you should be able to find some places. You can check out halloween supplies too. Make sure you get enough to test your skin first for allergies, and if you plan to do a full head mask then best use a shower cap to paint over since it's best to avoid anywhere with hair.

Did anyone have any luck with the liquid latex? I have an enquiry for a shoot using it - some brands etc would be helpful as I would prfer to find a supplier in Australia than mail order from the USA
