When did you start typing, while you were still viewing the image to get the image id, or after you hit post reply in the forum you wanted to post to? |

Sounds like you were probably still in the forum for discussion on your photo, make sure you're in the actual forum you wish to post. |

Go to Community on the top bar, click on Forum, find the category you want and click it. In this case probably Individual Photograph Discussion. Then click the New Topic button and you can begin a new forum.

Well it has nothing to do with an old thread about posting thumbnails, but I'll answer here.
A wishlist is on available on images in voting in a challenge. If someone would be interested in buying an image they can check the box that says Add to Wishlist. It's like a favorite. |

Right. The tutorial for linking to offsite photos is linked in the first post. |
So let me get this right. You have to be a paying member and not just a registered user in order to do the whole thumbnail posting goodness. Hmm. Another reason to become a member, I suppose. (Im really new here so I have laid down no cash, yet.)
ps. go vote on flora! Im dyin' there, seriously. :) |

As long as this thread has been bumped up, I might as well add that you can use thumbnails that link to elsewhere by the use of bbcode. I sometimes use thumbnails that link to a shot I have on Flickr. I used to do it manually, and keep a template file on my flashdrive, but I started using an extension for Firefox a a while back that makes it very easy.
Do do it manually, edit this code, inserting the image and page URL's in the appropriate location. (Make sure you have the thumbnail sized version displayed when you copy the image URL!)

A few weeks, I think. It's inconvenient, but it has seriously reduced the amount of spam postings on the site.
If you post the url as text, it's easy enough for anyone to copy and paste it into their browser. |

Very well worth the $25USD for the amount of photo stuff you will learn here. Not joking. |
