Here are some of the photos I clicked during my recent visit to Chennai. I did not had much time as I was there for office work, but you know DPCers can always steal time for some photography :)
The photos have gone through basic processing only but I will be posting (re)post-processed ones based on the feedback I get on these.
Looking forward to your comments :)

So you also got time to sneak off down the East Coast Road to Fisherman's Cove, sounds like a good 'business trip' ;-)
I know this area very well, I've visited at least a dozen times. You have some good shots of what is not always the prettiest part of India. I particularly like the last one with the two guys in turbans.

Well, I insisted on having business lunch at no other place but Fishermen's cove ;) Actually, I was there for 5 days and had some time to explore ECR.
@Gaurava >> Which beach is it Tej ? the clouds are amazing
Its Chennai's very own Marina beach. I went there at 5:30am to capture sunrise but it was an overcast day ... but who's complaining :)

I guess monsoon is keeping it clean (for now) but for sure its not the best beach to visit in Channai. There are few good ones on ECR (East Coast Road) but are a little far off from city center to explore early in morning.

You seem to frequent Chennai. Well, this was actually my first trip to Chennai (except for 2-3 hours meetings in past) and I think there is lots to explore. I recently changed my job and it requires me to fly to Chennai for atleast 2-3 days a month. I'm based out of Delhi.
I think I will be staying at Marriott (Anna Salai) during my stays. Do you have any tips on places I need to explore? How often do you visit Chennai? Thanks for sharing your photos.

I guess if you have been to Fishermans Cove then you will have gone next door into Mahabaralibum (excuse the spelling) to see the temples. Always good for tourists. I tend to get up early and try and get there for dawn to avoid the crouds and get the best light conditions.
On the way back from Fishermans Cove look out for the Crocodile Centre on the ECR (beach side). Obviously good for crocs, but also for snakes and egrets.
Also I would take a trip to Pondicherry and Auraville, both excellent days out.
There is a bird sanctuary out on South West, but I don't remember the name. On the North side of the city there are lots of chemical plants which are good for night and evening shots, reflections of all the lights in foreground lakes.
Hope that helps a little.
