When you've said "seed" you've said it all. |

I wonder if the biblical use of seed - the greek word sperma - will be covered, i.e. of the seed of Abraham.
Not that I want to try it myself mind you. |

Do you think this one would have been better in this challenge?

Oustanding image for this challenge. I would rate it very high. Nothing new under the sun, you know. i think many times the members here look past the quality of a photo and are juvenile enough to demand to be entertained... thereby declaring an image DNMC or "not original" for petty reasons.
This is a serious weakness of DPC right now.
But, as I've been told... "the voter is always right". |

Another one is trying to determine what is an outtake and what isn't for following forum rules. Aren't we, in essence, discussing how this image would score or be accepted (or not) by the voters?

glad2badad - Not sure if the subject of outtakes were originally intended, but I favor this kind of discussion but any one can see the outtake rule is arbitrary (depending on sc intrepretation) & it is obvious has been enforced selectively since it's conception.

Is the challenge implying seed in the figurative sense? Or will actual seeds be acceptable?
So hard to tell how the DNMC crowd is feeling these days.

And yet another one that seems to happen more and more often is seeing a photo posted in the forums for comment only then to see the very same photo come up in the challenge.
'How would this score' to me isn't an outtake. An outtake is a shot from the same session that you passed over in favor of a better shot. A variation on the same subject or scene.
Asking for input on a picture and then submitting it to a challenge... not sure what to call that. |

I hope not. That is, I hope actual seeds are acceptable. I'm not good at figurative. |

If I'm thinking along the same lines as Ursala I'm doing something right!

Not even 90 entries yet. Could this be another low turnout? |

Thinking along the sames lines as Ursula and doing the same things (photographically) as Ursula are worlds apart, but, one day I shall equal her prowess :)

I'm having a very tough time choosing. On the one hand I have what I view is going to be a cliche photo, but with superior technicals and sharp enough to cut steel (and we all know DPC responds to sharp); on the other hand I have a shot with a bit of a "how'd he do that" effect, but the technicals are just not quite as well done.
Right now I have the second shot in. I think the first shot will have at least 3 or 4 others which will look just like it. |

I knew 7 days ago that I didn't have a good idea for this one. Noodled on it all week.... still don't have a good shot. Think I'll give this one a miss. 10 weeks of WPL plus 30 day self, have me a bit worn out right now anyway, so I could use the break.
