I was confused when this shot was hanging around a 5.4 ... and now I'm wondering why it's climbing so hi - it's not that good

Yeah! I got a favourite! Was hoping for a slightly higher score though, but that's one of my goals achieved. Hopper seems to be doing well, aswell as ralph and eyewave. Good luck all!

Several comments from voters (who are always right, I've been told) indicating they have some kind of preconceived notion this challenge was required to be shot in a school chemistry classroom. Where does it say this in the rules?

I'm also of the opinion some of these voters do not have a clue about anything dealing with chemistry.

Sorry for the rant, but this DNMC allegation stuff, when an image obviously does meet the challenge, is very frustrating and insulting. If an image meets the challenge, it should be assessed on its merits. Just way too much of this defining the challenge much more narrowly than the official description indicates.

Oh, won't be my worst... although my worst was a DNMC.

Frustration with the "I guess this is kind of Chemistry" sort of comments. Does no one remember science classes?

Some good commenst though. Can't wait until my cannon arrives (just bought it online monday!) then I can avoid the slightly blurry trick my camera likes to pull on me. Just in focus enough to not notice it's actually kind of out of focus until it gets blown up on the computer.
