Geez. Want to beat that drum again?!

Here - regurgitate this thread: Disable right click....why is wrong? Many views, yours included, are available for review there.

I post the above because I know that hot button will consume Jimmy's thread if allowed to continue in here. ;^)

Yeah, I know about the "Diet Plans" thing - had to include it in order to use the counter. Maybe one of you have a recommendation for a free counter without a sponsor? :-)

I'll look into the broken link too. Thanks!!

Don't use a counter on your site - they are horribly unprofessional.

i agree, counters are unprofessional. in your back end (ie administrative page) write some code so that you can check the hits and info without others knowing about it.

if you visit my site, i see your IP address, time and date, what OS you're using and what browser you were on.

a hittracker should be for your own use privately ... counters are so 1990s! :)

Bah! It's a no-win situation... Mention it in this thread, get told to post about it in another. If you look in the other thread you pointed to, the OP requested that it be closed. Ahh well.

Anyway, I've got no wish to argue about right-clicking and will say no more about it, but the poster of this thread asked for our views on his website, and that's part of mine.

I have a few thoughts but for starters, your Bio reads almost as if you're dead...or in the past tense.

Point taken...sorry if I came across offensively. I just remembered how volatile the subject was last time around. Didn't think it was fair to Jimmy to have that blow up in here, that's all. :P

Looks great. However, your site has one anoying thing that many other sites do. As you click from image to image you have move your mouse because next button moves depending on the resolution and orientation of the image. To me it is very anoying. I would like to keep clicking mouse button and images just keep changing.

Not to steal your thread but here is an example of autogenerated gallery from my recent trip to Maine. Note how you don't need to move mouse as images change. You just keep clicking.

hi, it looks okay ... very sleek
i hope you get rid of the counter (is it still there ?) :-)
photos are awesome !

BTW: since you are all here can you visit my personal gallery and provide some critiques/comments on the site ? THANKS
url : //www.goc1.com

everything is written in php with no underlying database, configuration files are all that matters, admin pages are also written in php ... full automatic photo upload with auto thumbnail generation :-), etc ...
( all written be me :-) )

thanks again

I've removed the counter - I'll work on something that I can see on the back end. As far as the right-clicking and travelling buttons go, they are hard-coded features of the base template I used. As I get more familiar and comfortable with the coding aspect, I'll see what I can do about them.

Thanks again! Didn't mean to rekindle anything with the right clicky thang. ;-)
