What do you mean "Carry on!"? I believe this member has "flipped them the bird", based on his photo attached earlier in this thread. Why is the member to which you refer still a member here? Based on the photo of him flicking the bird at everyone, I really thought there might be some penalty invoked. Are there no rules of behavior?

My own goal is for it to do better than my "simple pleasures" entry, which I'm not crazy about. Based on that one, I decided to delete my entry for chemistry, which just stinks. New rule: if I don't like my own picture, and don't see any reason to get comments so as to learn (i.e., it's obvious why it stinks!), I'm not going to enter it.

Surprisingly, I hadn't thought of that before :-P

My score has crawled back up (slightly) to 4.98. I'm always happy with anything that scores above 5.00, so hopefully it'll creep that little extra bit up.

I can't believe the scores are that low. I didn't enter this challenge but I am voting and I saw a lot of really good shots. More than most other challenges. So far, most of the scores that I have given have been in the 6-7 range.

No doubt, being in a far-away place has improved my score - around a 6.5!!

I was actually serious. I am not voting in this challenge and asked that the title not be posted here so it won't affect scoring. Nobody knows the title of my submission and I asked for nothing in return. Is there a rule violation here? Are my comments simply unwanted or not good enough?

My intention was to help those who were seeking comments due to low/mediocre scores and very few comments.

I have a couple people who asked for comments. I will hold off until I get an answer.

No, you don't "get it". Putting up an image flipping off voters is unacceptable behavior. And, there should be an expulsion of members who can't control themselves. Let me hear from a SC member who says this is "acceptable behavior".


Its not "acceptable" behaviour. The recourse was a gentle verbal reminder about the rules of etiquette around here. As much as many would like it to be, the SC is NOT the police around here. There is no police. We're just here to make sure things run smoothly. I recognize you may wish for stronger punishment, but that is not to be. No one is "allowed" to flip the bird, but it was obvious from slippy's post that he meant it in good fun. I'm sorry you were offended, but anyone who used that icon in the same way would face the same gentle reminder on the first instance. We value all our members and are not the thought or PC police.
