I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good sites/places to visit and shoot here in New Jersey.

I was in Atlantic City today. Seemed like there were plenty of interesting characters down there to shoot :)

Stop by and say hi if you're passing my hotel in Mt. Laurel! :)

Go up on the roof and shoot the orange moon!! Really, you tempt me. I'd love to meet some people from the site. But, I just put my son to bed and we're off early to the Philadelphia Zoo in the morning.

Well, bummer :) That moon is pretty funky tonight! It was really nice last night on the way out here, too, at least until it started storming around Harrisburg.

Well, now that we've completely hijacked shawntay07's thread... sorry about that! What area of NJ are you in? Are you new to the area?

Are you asking *me*? I'm from Pittsburgh. I'm just here for the day.

I grew up in Branchville, NJ... wayyyyy north... like at the very tip... Stokes State Forrest is up there, which is the best place to go if you ask me.. for nature shots, and some structural.... I live in Parsipanny now, and I am having a hell of a time finding some place good to shoot!!! there's got to be something around here, i just have yet to find it!!!

No Alan, I know you're just here visting! :) I was trying to put her thread back on track. I asked the question and waited a few minutes but had to go to bed.

shawntay07 it depends on how much driving you want to do. Philadelphia is loaded with places to shoot. I go to the Jersey beaches... Wildwood, Cape May, Fortesque and Atlantic City. Six Flags Great Adventure safari has some great friendly animals. The park will be having Fright Fest in October and I always get some awesome pictures then. They go all out. We used to go hiking and camping alot in the Jersey Pinelands. Mainly in the southern areas around Long Beach Island and Tuckerton. There are beautiful trails and cedar lakes and streams. We rarely go there now, since my husband shattered both his heels a few years ago and he has trouble staying on his feet for long periods. Most of the places I go locally just to shoot wouldn't be worth the drive for you. Hope this helps.
