OK. Now you all know that my knowledge of greek mythology isn't very impressive.
Basically, I was planning to shoot the Chrysler at night for the negative space challenge, but it turned out pretty boring (maybe I'll post a couple of outtakes later) so I ended up at Grand Central station where there's this very nice statue with the sky as the backdrop.
After having taken a few shots, I returned home and selected this one...the only problem was, I didn't know if this was Hercules, Mercury, or Hermes (all 3 appear as part of the statue).
So I guessed....wrong.
From the voting comments I got it's Mercury. Thanks to those who corrected me!
Any greek mythology experts who disagree, speak now or forever hold your peace! |
