Unique sunset in San diego - DPChallenge Forums

Caught this sunset from my balcony in San Diego on Sept.2. Too bad I was not at the beach at the time, but who could anticipate this? It lasted only about 3 min. Never seen a sky like that. Apparently these clouds are remnants of the hurricane John which pounded pacific coast of Mexico last week.

Very nice shot. we had one like that here tonight the sun set just as a storm rolled out of the area. Always stunning results when that happens. We had company over for dinner and my wife warned me in advance that for no reason would I be leaving the house with my camera until our company had gone home. They stayed til Dark. :-(

A friend of mine sent me his photo of the same sunset

Unlike me, he happened to be in the open space at the time, so he got a really good view of it
