Hey all -
I just got back from a week of business in London and got the opportunity to see the Notting Hill Carnival for the first time. What a blast and a great source of many photo ops. Here are some of my favs:

I am always a little nervous around the NH Carnival - too many people! However I may have to revisit next year (at least for the early afternoon).

| Nice work. I was there in 1985. A Soca hot summer. From Brixton to Brooklyn. There was one of the same type of events today at Grand Army Plaza here - but chose to spend the last day before school on the beach! |

| Thanks for those. I think it was the seventies when I was there - year after the riots and a couple of years after that. Great pictures and it's really nice to see something good like that happening. |

It was a really terrific event, if you don't mind hanging out with 1,000,000 of your closest friends.
Hats off to the police who made sure everything was safe and fun for all attending.

| Having lived through two bloody riots in Brixton and Stockwell, I must say times have changed since the Special Patrol Group thought they had license to pulverize anyone... ;-) |
