Pale pink, pale blue, pale lemon, pale green, pale lavender, pale beige, pale cream, pale grey, pale aqua, and even off white.....
The list is endless, so I am so looking forward to what you are all going to come up with, for this soft pastel challenge.

Heres some examples of pastels.....



If you find anymore maybe you can share them in this thread..... Thank you to all the above images, re some of our DPC members, as I have all of these chosen as favorites, in my portfolio, as they are perfect examples of "Pastels".

Think there's some pale green and yellows in this one...... but........ The one bug-a-boo that drives me bonkers about DPC............ the fricking date on the file is a couple of days too early! I've got her model release.... but it says for address:
Bush in the back yard. For phone it says:
Buzz me!

Arrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I'm looking through my portfolio for anything that might be classed as a pastel and there doesn't seem to be much. The only one I think comes close is this

is this pastel?

Wondering if this would fall into the category of pastel or not, since it has such a low level of saturation? What do you guys think?

From my art teaching days, I would class it as "pastel", but I not sure all the DPC members would agree. Great image there.....

Bumping..... Come on, are there any more great examples of pastels out there.....

I think the "master of pastels" would be our DPC member, ursula as she has some wonderful examples in her portfolio..... Do you, have a favorite DPC member, who has some great pastel images in their portfolio.

Of course, none are great pictures, but I would consider them pastel.

You're right. I'm having trouble visualizing that as a good example for pastel colors. Perhaps because the image is rather dark and I typically associate pastels to be light in nature.

Taken a day too early.
(Not a PS creation, no gradients used, minimal basic edit)

I took a picture of my camouflage uniform, ran it through hues/saturation and made it pastel. But a buddy of mine said he'd kill me if I entered it.
