Mine is in a corner of the dining room, but only because it's the only reasonable spot available in my apartment. In other accomodations I've kept it in the laundry room or in the bathroom.

Basement. Not that it stops her from pooping and peeing on the carpet/drapes etc.

Most of the food never makes it all the way through her digestive tract anyway, she gorges on it and then pukes it up in the hall so we can step in it on our way to the potty late at night. MMM MMM

It's my wife's cat, I can't stand the beasty myself.

Anyone want a cat? I'll even spring for an envelope and postage.

In the livingroom.
Never know it was there, never a smell.

My cat's litter box is in the spare bedroom with my husband's studio space. He doesn't like the smell but the basement is not a safe place for my cat. Sooooo!!!

They are so easy to take care of, litter stays inside, and it really helps that we use an organic, no chemically-treated litter (forget what kind it is).

My apartment is pretty small with not a lot of options, so my kitty's is in the kitchen. I went to the thrift store and got a fire screen for $1. Then I went to the craft store and got some pretty cloth that was cheap. I took apart the frame of the fire screen, put the cloth over the screen, and then put it all back together.

Most people don't even know the cat box is there. Sometimes I even forget! He's mainly outside and never uses it anyway.

Place the litter box at the base of the toilet for 2 weeks. Then move the box onto the toilet seat for 2 weeks. The remove the box and leave the lid up. Voila!!! Cat now poops in toilet. Usaully works in this time frame. May take longer but, I've never heard of it not working. As far as flushing your on your own. Haven't figured that part yet.

The main post is a 4x4. I bored a 1" hole down into it and what looks like a shower curtain rod, is actually a HUGE bolt, with a rubber cane tip on top, and by turning the nut, it tightens it up to the ceiling by adding overall length.

I have one in the bathroom and one in the living room. The living room box is a gihugic tupperware container with a hole cut in the lid.

I live in a studio, so my box options for two felines is a tad limited. :) Just make sure to use a really good litter.

In our last house, we had a small 'broom' closet. I'm not really what I would call it except Broom Closet. It was a small closet next to our fridge in the kitchen, maybe a 24 inches wide x 36 inches deep. My husband cut a small kitty door in the wall next to the fridge. He installed a shelf in the closet, which became home to our broom and mops as well as cleaners. They rested nicely on the shelf with the garabage can, while the kitty box dwelled under the shelf. It was a covered box, so the shelf was high enough to clear it. They would simply walk between the fridge and the wall to go through their private little entrance. It was really ideal and assisted with controlling the litter from being tracked out.

In our current house, we are minus 2 of 3 kitties...and the 3rd kitty in her old age has become a hermit living in our garage and has free access to the outdoors.

We have ours in the office. I agree with the tidy cat with crystals blend. Best odor control I have found thus far!
