How would I paste a sample image into a forum, short of having it on a server somewhere? The good old "cut and paste" doesn't work. :)

You can't show an image in the forums unless it is somewhere on the internet. You could (being a member) upload the image into a hidden folder in your Portfolio, and get the image URL from that.

Yep that works fine.

Also, you could get the file name from the server (which ends in .jpg) and click the button.

Can you post the URL modification which leads to the thumbnail version? I like putting the small version plus a link into the forum post.

I tend to do this for pbase pictures:

[ url=url at the top of the page with /original][ img ]url/medium.jpg[ /img][ /url ]

I can do it fine from pBase -- but my account there is already over budget. I meant the URL for DPC Portfolio image thumbs.

Make sure image is in public portfolio and before you copy the hyperlink you must be logged off!
