I'd like to see what some of you guys can do with a photo shot on a cloudy day to give it some life. I know it's boring and flat...but it does have a bit of a challenge to it...

Go ahead, give it a shot :-)

Thanks for the tip on how to make the thumb work!

You just need to save the thumbnail as a separate image at around 100-150 pixels and use it to link to the full size photo. Unless you pay for a membership, then the thumb button generates it automatically.

Incidentally, helping me fix the thumbnail also taught me how to properly display my signature.

I love your range of tones in your Black and Whites...you should do an exhibition using that ability.

Not sure I'm ready to be an exhibitionist just yet....

compliments where it is due - very good touching up, one that reminds me of JJBeguin's sepia work.

Judi, Judi, Judi. I can only say that revenge will be sudden and unexpected. I predict much criticism for my intended use of disproportionate force.

This is actually a serious attempt here: trying to capture that hand-tinted look. This was done with literally dozens of layers and blending modes, and only ONE pass of hue/sat at the end, to drop the red down a little. I couldn't get the page with the large version to load, so this was done from the small version.
