Probably because it doesn't work.

I've seen the water shot Judi posted here too. I think it was by a young girl, one of the other dpc'ers kids.

You can also stop windown from having that image save bar open when you run your mouse over a picture by adding this meta tag to every page

These two simple additions to the web site would prevent most normal people from taking our images.

Let's not start this again. None of these methods stop people from saving the images and doing with them what they want. "Most normal people" would blow past them in a tenth of a second.

I like the messages under strangeghost's hummingbirds, begging the theif for technical details and what lens they used.

Funny how there was an ad that said "Flame Me" at the bottom the first time I clicked on the link.

Once again I do not see any of my images :(

Because it's a worthless effort? I got this with a simple print screen and paste into photoshop...

When ya'll see a pic that looks like it is stolen please put the link to each photo. It helps get there quicker to verify then we can surf the site afterwards to see if there are any more.

The pic of the squirrel and and SLC Temple with Christmas lights looks like someone here but I'de like to confirm first. Thanks.

How about we move the right click protect discussion either into a new thread or into one of the million existing threads on the topic?

True but a majority of the people who steal do not know how to get around it. Just like protection from terrorist, everything we do is worthless, it just keeps the idiot and drug crazed terrorists from causing damage. A little bit of preventative measure will stop a lot of thefts.

MAYBE this is a feature that should have a poll and vote on. Then either do it quickly or let it die. Make the poll and act within the next 7 days.

A fellow DPCer pointed out to me earlier that one of my images is being claimed by the user/website linked above. Please take a minute and look through his/her portfolio bo see if any of your images are there. I didn't see any I could immediatly identify as other DPCers' shtos, but best everyone take a look for themselves.

Quoting the thread's original intent so everyone has a chance to look for their images on this site.

Oh yea they are a USER of this site, now whether they are an actual member... ;)

What's really funny is that the Two Peas site, if their address is accurate, is less than 2 miles from my house:

2222 Pleasant View Road Unit 6
Middleton, WI 53562-5526

Agree, but as in a lot of suggestions, lots of talk, lots of suggestons. Instead of 8 pages of this thread and giving ways to cheat the right click, why not the ounce of prevention? The only person it affects is the one person who has to program it in here at DPC. If you don't want it is it becasue it makes it a little harder for people here at DPC to copy it? ;). Put it to a simple poll vote and then the discussion can stop until the next theft of DPC photos. DPC does have somewhat of an obligation to use all levels of preventative measures.

MAYBE ... after the voting is over an automatic copyright notice can be applied to each photo using the DPC user name? Much harder to program. Maybe this copyright notice can be part of the submission part. Allow the DPC member to select the words and position of the notice. When voting is over the DPC computer will place this notice on the photo for all future views?

When someone steals my photos and pretends they are their own, I will be flattered.

At least the poster said it wasn't theirs. An e-mail from a friend. That even opens the problem up much bigger. At least two people are involved.
