I've been walking around for a week saying "bits and pieces.. bits and pieces... bits and pieces." Last night I was demanding an infant. If I only had those cute little toes! No one can deny the power of those cute little toes!!

...bits and pieces ...bits and pieces ...bits and pieces

Being a Dutchie too, I had some problems defining the theme too... but I did come up with a photo which I think definately meets the challenge, how vague the description even is ;-)

edit: grammar & spelling ;-)

sorry can't do that. I'll be getting killed if I tell.

no, seriously, I know the description says "N/A", that's why it's vague.

and I won't tell :P

When in doubt Google the challenges. I just came up with a good idea, but I only have 10 minutes to get dressed.. shoot it.. post it. I don't think I can do it in time so I'm not going to even try, heh. That and I would have liked morning sun for it. Oh well.. I'll shoot the idea anyway later and just miss yet another challenge. =)

Anyone who has only a bit or a piece in their image gets an automatic DNMC from me!

Well I'm sure glad I included both bits AND peices! :P

Hmm, clarification...

Drop a glass on the floor. Look! Bits and pieces.

Throw a bug in the blender! Look! Bits and pieces.

Things like that.

(BTW this bug shot will get a 10 from me guaranteed)

I actually got so despirate this week as to look for a spider I killed last week that landed on the floor somewhere... I never did find it...

edit: I should have taken pictures of all the bits and pieces of crud I found in my carpet that hasn't been vacuumed for a couple weeks!

a fine photo - though it would be awhile before the subject was actually considered to be bits & pieces. still one piece at the moment...

I know I'm boring, but I'm playing to my strengths, ok?

While 'bits and pieces' does sort of mean broken, or shattered, or in pieces, there is also an important connotation of being incomplete.

If a jigsaw puzzle is separated into its constituent parts, it could still be called a 'whole' or 'complete' jigsaw. If some of the parts were missing, one might say there were only 'bits and pieces' of the jigsaw.

It would probably work for a broken glass too, as there's not much danger of anyone putting that back together again.

NB, this is a service I provide to those for whom English is not a first language, for their edification. As far as the challenge is concerned, it seldom helps to be too literal. I think.

Tell him you'll do it as an abstract and no one will ever know it's his bits and pieces... :-)

only 2 hours and 54 minutes left and STILL no bits or pieces for me! BUMMER. Will be a last minute entry for sure. YIKES!!!

I just shot one. Now I have to decide if I really am in the mood for another 4 score. Got one going in B&W in Color... Eh, what the heck. 4's never really hurt anybody, did they? It's not like I have an average to defend or a reputation to uphold. :-)

Mine is entered. Let the 4's poor in. Good shot, but since I am poor I have a crap lens and the clarity stinks.
